Now that is something we can all agree on!

he’s waiting until August 1st. Junior recruits have to wait until August 1st to visit schools and give a verbal commitment. This is for D1 anyway

Edit: this scenario is only if he’s still considering options. He could also be signed one way or the other right now.

man, Sarnia got DiLorio and Edwards to sign and we can't even get one of the top two lol.

Sarnia's rebuild just leaped a year.

David Holub has committed to the Soo and is on his way to North America.

Translation:

We have one return and departure towards 🇨🇦 junior. Matěj Kubiesa returns to @hcocelaricz after one year in the WHL. At the same time, David Holub is leaving Třinec for the OHL, who will play for @OHLHoundPower. #WHL #OHL #Czechhockey

he said in December to everyone that he wanted to go to school. cant be that surprised that he followed through for now.
Pretty sure he told the team before drafting him too that he wouldn’t be coming. Would sure like to know what was going through Kyle Raftis’ brain…

What an absolute mismanaging of assets these last few years.

Strange draft strategy for the Soo....big misses (potentially) with their first two picks, and no pick in the 3rd.

And no contract extension for Raftis

Strange for sure because Raftis was so excited about saving the picks instead of adding another player or two and putting the Soo Greyhounds team over the top last season….( more specifically the 2nd round pick )

Yes very concerned with Cali still not signed and I was never a fan of the 2nd rd risk for a player known to be committed to NCAA route, would rather have tried to take a flyer on him with 1 of our 3 picks in the 4th rd. Was still some good talent available in 2nd rd at that point. Let's hope Cali is signed soon.

I don’t speak for raftis but maybe he wanted to claim croskery before another team like London or Kitchener got him first- and if croskery ever does change his mind and doesn’t want to go to soo- they have a trade waiting to happen.

0 chance he de commits from BC though. Also weird to do it in the second round. Would’ve made more sense taking a pick like that after round 6 or 7 when the talent probably drops a little bit.
