Lol!

For me, the depth of this lineup is fine. Jays would benefit from having another top bat.

If you can’t hit you’re done. Based on last season and the changes made. I can’t see us being any better. I like the Turner addition but with a lineup having IKF, Varsho, Kirk, Springer, KK, Biggio playing everyday…. We simply suck. Hope I’m wrong though.
Barring something unforeseen, I think they’ll win 86+ games. If Bo and/or Flop have MVP level seasons they could be better than last year.

So got this email today from the Jays.

All April and May weekday games are $99 ...Leadoff Deal they're calling it. Offer details: Tickets are in the 500 outfield.

Uhm...what? That is a deal? Arighty then.

That's $99 for all those games... not $99 each.

I laugh at all these Cover Direct/Seniors Choice insurance commercials that air during games. They're like 80% the same script with small changes in spite of all the varied scenarios and they feel like the same sort of corny "no one talks like that" commercials as all those old "legal will kit" ads except they're not nearly as self-aware of their own cheesiness as those seemed to end up being.

Rodon's velocity is up today, which is a better sign for the Yanks. Throwing 94-95 and has touched 97.

Of course, Cole is out at least a month.

I saw you guys talking about this and the first place my brain went was that he got accused of domestic violence again because he's already had issues with that. I'm relieved that it wasn't that but somehow it's almost as bad in a completely different way? Yikes.
I saw you guys talking and decided I needed to know so off too google…..
Ewww. No one else do that.

thankfully I didn't watch the video. The article I was on said "the video is below. You've been warned" after explaining the situation and I was immediately like "Nope!" and closed the tab.

I hope you realize the difference between an entirely reasonable opinion of this team being a top 10 offense and people thinking they are the 27 Yankees.
The Jays were only 28 runs from finishing top 10 last year (14th in RS) while being 26th in RS from RISP situations.

…. Predicting being a top 10 offense with a 5-9 consisting of Varsho, Biggio, IKF and KK is not reasonable at all. Lol.

Our 5-9 last year was Chapman, Merrifield, Varsho and KK and it almost was a top 10 offense.

Better sequencing and better years from some of the underachievers could more than make up the difference of losing Belt, Chapman and Merrifield.

Yes, Anything is Possible. But I just can't see it happening. Especially with basically all the coaches from last year coming back. Guillermo Martinez specifically.

But the specific problem the Jays had was situational hitting, and the guy responsible for that is no longer in that position.

I really hope I'm wrong too. Believe me. But I agree. I just don't see any improvements here.

Clement makes the team or we riot.
I still have a bad feeling they're gonna do something stupid. We just keep seeing Espinal starting games with the regular lineup and Clement coming in as a mid-game replacement and starting on the road with the B-squad.
