So they did the septic inspection today.

When they took the lid off, some dirt fell in

The dude was scooping it out with his shovel, when oops ...he dropped it

Sunk down in the tank with about 2" sticking up

He had to get down and his knees and reach down in there to fish it out...

Talk about a crappy day....

Eeewwwwwww

I give those guys credit, septic is not a job I would enjoy

It is f***ing IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere with the orange line down. I go to a 9AM class at my gym 3x/week, usually takes me about 20 mins with regular morning traffic. Tuesday it took me 35 and today I gave up and turned around after 25 mins because I'd only gone a mile and a half.

Sometimes I really, really, hate living where the people are.

Anyone a Red Green fan? We are in a rural area, so the slogans for septic sucking services are very cringe worthy.... like "you dump it, we pump it".....and call 1-800-POOP.....and "we are number one in the number two business". You really have to have a sense of humour!

Reminds me of this joke:

As a guitarist, I play many gigs. Recently, I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper’s cemetery in the back country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch.

I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart an soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I’ve never played before for this homeless man.

As I played “Amazing Grace,” the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my guitar and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years!”

I am flying to NYC tomorrow night to visit my daughter. We are planning a road trip North towards Maine where it looks like there is plenty of construction on the 95. Would it be better to take the 1? Number 9 closer to the coast?

There is one here that says

in the process of passing my first kidney stone. I am beyond miserable.
I have friends who suffered immensely with them. I have one that keeps showing up on an ultrasound, but it hasn't moved yet.....fingers crossed it never does.
