OT - NO POLITICS Spring has sprung

As a non-Catholic I find this whole process absolutely fascinating.

Also, Conclave is a fantastic film, if you haven't seen it yet.

I have some old movie thats about the process as well

“Shoes of the fisherman”

Very interesting. Im Italian but not catholic. Catholiscn has always fascinated me.

My father actually went to seminary school in the north end

Habemus Papam!

I genuinely was shocked by the choice. I had a top 2 that I would of liked to see. Don't know much about him except that he was born in Chicago. Speaks 5 languages. And has dual citizenship with Peru, as hes been there for 20 years. An American Pope. Never thought that would happen!

But I'm excited to see how he does. Leo XIV.

I saw a great number of people wanted Sarah but idk anything about it and only what I seen online
Sarah is pretty awesome but too hardline to be electable.

I'm just finding it funny how the two big names the media was trying to prop up as their favorites, Tagle and Parolin, got shut out for a relative dark horse. But if you really read up on the state of the church you'd have known that both those guys have had financial scandals on their record and Cardinal Zen flying in from Hong Kong pretty much ended Parolin as a candidate since he was the one who brokered the China deal.

His brother gave an interview clarifying that he is, in fact, a White Sox fan.
Ah, a true South-Sider. Being a Chicago baseball fan of any kind is definitely a Cross to bear.

All kidding aside, I’m praying for a successful pontificate for His Holiness.
