OT - NO POLITICS Spring has sprung

Mmmm, I don't know. I'm aware of identical twins who will often say some phrases at the same time, and they often have very similar brains and speaking patterns, but this is next level and I suspect in this particular case there is an aspect of it that is an act or put on. Clever, and still quite remarkable, but somewhat forced.

BTW, both the girls used to work with Steve Irwin when they were younger.[/QUOTE]

Personally, I can hear the very slight out of sync words. My mother (RIP) drove us all crazy because she would constantly end our sentences with us - I suspect that they are so in tune with each other that they are used to doing this their whole lives and it may even be so ingrained in them, that it is almost natural and is a habit.

After sitting outside last night I have reached the conclusion that I need a bug repellent strategy. If you use something that is effective, please let me know!

Not sure if this is applicable, but if you are using skin lotions on a regular basis, pay close attention to what the ingredients are. A lot of them are mosquito magnets due to the fragrances and lactic acid.

My wife uses that stuff religiously and she is constantly getting eaten alive. I keep telling her to stop, but she won't listen. Good news for me is that as long as I'm stay 6+ft away from her, I never get eaten, because the mosquitos are usually too busy going after her!

I swear by my No Fly Zone hat.
I wear it in the yard and taking walks in the woods.
I may get buzzed but nothing, including mosquitoes, will land on me.

I have heard to use Avon skin so soft as a bug repellent...

Avon Skin so Soft doesn't work well, at least in my case, for mosquitoes. it only makes it worse:(

That said, it is the only thing that repels Greenhead flies. Crane Beach up in Ipswich, MA sells it and it is worth every penny. You do not want to get bit by one. I ended up on antibiotic ointment for 2 weeks a few years ago after one bit the top of my foot.

This! If you can get fragrance free, it does help. I use repellant patches versus spray because using bug spray and sunblock at the same time will turn me into a lobster. The patches are also much safer especially when I am with my 2 year old niece who loves to be outside.

Just wrapping up a short Disney trip with my 4 1/2 year old. My first time here since I was just a little older than he. If you have a kid that likes Star Wars, holy shit is Galaxy’s Edge worth it. Best part was running into Rey in a random alley and seeing my son completely lose his ability to speak.

If you've been to an airshow any time in the last couple decades, you probably saw Rob Holland perform. He was an incredible pilot.

No idea what happened, I would assume mechanical failure of some type. Just awful

Found this video...I have no idea how anyone flies like that and keeps their bearings... or their stomach contents...

Sunday night I had my first major non scale victory since starting my weight loss journey back in late September. After the fire alarms went off (legit fire somewhere), I climbed 4 flights of stairs and was not winded. Wahoo! I'm down 40lbs since I started and have about 40 more to go.
This is really incredible and so empowering good for you

Sharing some work that is in process. I used a disposable hot cup as the template for the mug. I cut the cup at the seam and removed the base which left me with the perfect template to hopefully have 1t least a 12-14oz cup at the end. The hexagon pieces are for a mosaic I plan to make for my office wall. It is abstract but the plan is to use all of my glaze colors to paint the various tiles.

The mosaic will be decorative but also functional as they will also serve as test tiles so I can play around with different color combinations. I put 3 small dishes in the queue to be bisque fired so I'm excited to see how they turn out. Now to come up with a design for them.

I still have 2 pieces from last session that are still in the final glaze and fire process. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement but this is the norm at a community studio.

received a MA jury duty summons in the mail at my parents house. I haven’t lived in MA in 8 years so they are really on top of things there.
Two Massachusetts jury duty stories: a guy in Boston received repeated jury duty summonses for his dog who was actually named Rover, apparently even taking the dog to the courthouse did nothing to keep him from receiving a threat to fine him for not showing up :wg:
A home owner who was building an annex to his house and had gotten building permits then got a jury summons for “Annex” and his last name:skeptic:
