It still says he hasn't started :/
Jimmy Hayes' wife Kristen is running today for Children's Hospital and she's about 6 miles out from the finish line
About twice a year we dog sit for our friends--a 12 year old schnauzer mix. Recently they dropped him off with a basil plant because they said it was too hard to grow.My neighbor set me up with some mint and basilI've always wanted to grow herbs but not indoors in an apartment.
Hopefully the deer will leave them alone...

I don't know why I think I can keep them alive, because I can kill a peace lily and that is an almost impossible task lol.About twice a year we dog sit for our friends--a 12 year old schnauzer mix. Recently they dropped him off with a basil plant because they said it was too hard to grow.
I let it suffer for a bit because I was distracted by work, but the husband brought it back to life.
They don't want it back, so I guess hes adopted. (the basil, not the dog)
You can't kill mint, it takes over everywhere if in the garden. If you like mint sauce, I have a great, simple recipe. I love it on new potatoes and peas.I don't know why I think I can keep them alive, because I can kill a peace lily and that is an almost impossible task lol.
But I'm giving it a go!

Can't say I've ever had mint sauce, but sounds like something fun to try.You can't kill mint, it takes over everywhere if in the garden. If you like mint sauce, I have a great, simple recipe. I love it on new potatoes and peas.
Miyagi-san very disappointed in you.Don't feel bad I managed to kill another "unkillable" plant, a bonsai plant.![]()
Just in case you feel adventurous - it is obviously great on lamb. Can't say I've ever had mint sauce, but sounds like something fun to try.![]()
That is awful. I just don't understand people. I know the cemetery where my grandparents are buried in Maryland is not in good shape.Visited my nephews grave today and I am so beyond disgusted by the cemetery. Lots of the baby graves were covered. Trash overflowing. They clearly didn't cut the higher grass or landscape. It breaks my heart that the state of this place, especially in the baby section where my nephew is located. I had to get on my knees and pull grass and dig around to make it not be dirty. And we visit his grave every month. That trash has been overflowing for weeks. And it's not just this one trash barrel. It's all of them.
My entire extended family is in another cemetery except my nephew and my uncle, and it never looks like this. The landscaping is perfection. I've never, ever seen trash like this.
I want to complain but I don't know where to even start. It's just disheartening. And we've had issues with this cemetery over the years where someone has taken things off his grave. Been stepped on. Etc.

I'm thankful my parents are buried on a military base, as those are always impeccable.
There's a group in our town that periodically goes around and cleans up old markers/tombstones in different cemeteries. I mean they get out the special soap, brushes, the whole nine yards. It's amazing and not exactly a small effort.I really need to figure out who to complain to about this. There's just no need for it to look like this. Final resting places should be impeccable. Especially the infant and baby angel sections. It's just so disheartening.

I like to sit with the windows open, listening to a neighbor mowing (lawn care is included in my rent), smelling the fresh cut grass, and watching 80s TV shows. Instant nostalgia. My brother and I would come in from helping in the yard just in time for the A-Team, or MacGyver.Fired up the lawn mower tonight for the first cut of the season.
As weird as this sounds, its one of my favorite things to do in spring. I love cutting grass. I find it cathartic. Pop on the headphones, play some tunes and turn off my brain for an hour or two....
My wife and I are debating between Barrancas, or Point Loma in San Diego. This is where my parents are, Barrancas in Pensacola. It is a huge place. I wish all cemeteries were so well maintained.
I have no idea where I'm going to be buried. I probably need to figure that out.

I love that they're at Barrancas because the Blues fly over there all the time and we all loved them. So whenever I see a video online of them flying home after a show on a Sunday, it makes me think of mom and dad.My wife and I are debating between Barrancas, or Point Loma in San Diego.
We both love the Emerald Coast, but we met and were married in San Diego. Probably gonna be Barrancas if we end up moving there permanently.
Respect, kindness and peace. What an incredible world we could have if people could be accepting of others. What do you want to bring into the world today?

I’m still working on raking up all the extra shit. Filled 7 large trash barrels already and still have a good 25 percent to clear out.Fired up the lawn mower tonight for the first cut of the season.
