props or parlays? Now I’m confused.

I thought props were just bets that weren’t on the outcome of the game? Something like the length of the national anthem or how much time until the first point is scored. Parlays being exactly what you described; A combo of bets that all gotta hit, and nobody ever wins

Thanks for the explanation.

I have never laid a bet in my life, though many I work with do, regularly.

Given your explanation and my scant knowledge, it appears that prop bets are the coin of the realm.

To me, playing the lottery, scratch tickets, and gambling, whether online or at a casino, is like opening my wallet and saying, "Here, take my money."

I'm no good at it and have no interest.

The house *always* wins.

"There's a sucker born every minute."

And it ain't gonna be me.

Yeah, Mike described a parlay. Props are as you described.

props are the only way i make money. I would never bet again.
Edit. I was wrong too. Parlays are what i was thinking of. I always make money on like 6 game parlays.
Ive won like 4 in a row of those for hockey

f*** I'm sorry. I am so crushed with work this morning and also sick. I totally f***ed up.

I described parlays.

Props are bets you make on specific events, most often tied to player performances.

They are RIPE for corruption for that very reason.

This is year 3 for lacrosse for one of my boys. Year 1 he was 8, super shy and had never picked up a stick. He was nervous but eager to try it. Coach was super supportive and just a friendly guy. Still, most kids on the other teams were veteran players and the season was tough.

Year 2 he aged up to the u11 team. Sure, he had a year experience but now he was “the little kid” out there. The coach was also an extreme hardo. Last game of the season, coach screamed the f word at a referee. Everybody heard it. It was another very difficult season, and only in the 2nd half of their very last game did my little guy come alive and show some fire. It was incredible.

This season, now he’s the big kid again. He’s definitely one of the tallest, more solid kids out there. Coach from year 1 is back! Along with an assistant coach from last year who we already know and are on good terms with. Still, game 1 my guy was timid and very anxious on the field.

Today was game 2. He started on defense, the same position he has played in every game since starting lacrosse. We noticed early on today that he wasn’t just letting kids run by him. He was hacking away and leaning in on kids. It was encouraging! He played the entire first quarter, and a few minutes of quarter 2 before motioning to us that he couldn’t breathe, so we yelled for him to just run off the field. He did. Coach first told him to go back but they sorted it out quickly.

To start the second half, he overpowered a kid in a 1v1 loose ball battle. Scooped the ball and carried it end to end. Danced around a few players and sailed a shot just wide. Mind you, I’ve never seen him fight for a loose ball. I’ve never seen him get hacked and fight through it. I’ve never seen him carry the ball more than a few steps. And he’s definitely never crossed midfield, Nevermind as the ball carrier! It was f***ing electric.

Coach must have agreed. His next shift he played as a mid fielder. Same thing. End to end rush that he lost control of in the slot.

I don’t know what clicked today. I like to think a lot of it is just GOOD coaching. Supportive, but firm coaching. These guys just get it. It shows. The players listen, they cheer each other on, and they are having fun! Youth sports at their best.

We hardly recognized little TD Charlie out there today. It was 13 hours ago and I’m still riding that high. I am so incredibly proud of that boy.

I always loved playing Lacrosse (Defense) until I stopped growing and they made me long stick mid field, great exercise but pure torture.

I played half when I was into soccer for a bit. It's just sprints back and forth. Torture indeed.

I love the little kids with the d poles lol. There's usually one on every team and it always makes me laugh. Then, me being me, I have to shout out D POLE with a chuckle every time the kid with the d pole gets the ball.
 
Does anyone know how much it costs to add another household on a netflex account? I have the $7.99 one with ads, but Im getting sick of doing the email thing each time I go to my dads or girlfriend house. I dont understand why I cant just use it anywhere when Im paying for my account name. Netflix sucks for this. Every other App i have I am able to put on their devices with no issues or this crap.

It is tragic that kids are dying from the measles when there is a safe vaccine. Because I didn't know if I had had the measles or was vaccinated, same with hubby, we had a simple blood test done. We are both immune and our kids were vaccinated as scheduled when they were young.

It seems quite a lot of kids were missed during the covid lockdown, and there are also kids who did not have a family doctor. Suspension notices were sent out to the school kids who were not vaccinated. Countries need to take it seriously, it is so sad that children are dying needlessly.

Random funny for the day....I've been watching Little House on the Prairie on Amazon recently. Got a kick out of one episode where somebody tells Andy Garvey his dad should be the coach of the football team.

Andy "my dad doesn't know anything about football!"

His dad was played by Merlin Oleson :laugh: (some of y'all would still recognize that name lol)
