Sat next to him at ServiceOntario about 2 months ago. Looked reaal tiny. Smooth mits though but your classic in betweener at the NHL level.

Looked like he hit it in with his glove. Wouldn't that be called no goal in the NHL?

Look at the last replay of the goal, the puck hit the arm before he deflected it in with his stick. (Would be a good goal in the NHL, even a great one)

The move around the defender was nice but nothing else about this clip is special. A lot of players can bat in the puck like that especially when it comes right at you and almost hits your glove.

Great goal none the less but it seems to be getting more attention than it deserves online. Probably because its still only September.

What?

Everything about that clip was special.

The puck first hit his arm, he then deflected the puck into the goal with his stick. (as you can see on the last replay)

Meh, growing up watching Lemieux and Jagr has spoiled me, I suppose. The goal was alright, nothing spectacular.

To each their own. I'm not really impressed by player batting in the puck.. I'd say thats average hand eye.

To me the move around the defender is still the highlight of this play. A lot of house league and beer league players have the talent to bat the puck in like that.

Yeah, i know what you mean.. but to do it at that speed is pretty remarkable IMO, it wasn't like he was standing still or something (see Tavares in the Juniors with the goal against Slovakia that got so hyped up that it had over 1.5 million views on YouTube).

For reference:

TSN counted down the Top 10 in history some years ago.
