People who say Carlyle is a terrible coach (and he does appear to make mistakes) have a difficult explaining this, as special teams are the most impactable area by a coach.

I thnk Carlyles character/determination shines after the dark years of some idiot we had the reins. He is honest,informative,and demanding in his delively. All qualities players like i think is fair to say.
 
It's no coincidence the Avalanche pk has plummeted while ours has improved so much. If Wilson can have the top pk in San Jose and the Worst in TO that tells me it's more about the players on the ice than coaching. It's not like there's a lot of difference from one teams penalty kill to anothers. It's all McClement and Komarov IMO
