The absence of original cast members may be forgiven if just Tim Russ returns and is still combing the desert because no one told them to stop.

I think this is a terrible time to make a movie like this. Producers and Filmmakers today are too scared to offend anybody and comedy doesn't work under that premise.

I haven't seen Spaceballs in a long time but I don't remember it being very offensive.

You could be right but the standup comedians I watch generally get away with more offensive stuff than that. I really haven't watched many new comedy shows or movies the past 5+ years so not sure what they can or can't get away with.

Gonna be interesting what they come up with here. Candy, Rivers, Van Patten all gone. Moranis retired and I don't see 98 year old Brooks doing much if any acting scenes.

Probably a whole new main cast with a Pullman cameo probably parodying Han Solo in TFA.
