does anyone have the PlayStation portal? What are thoughts on it? It is something I’m thinking of getting for just around the house. I find it easier to play handhelds then games on the television as I get older.

I guess it depends on what you play and how good your internet is. I got a Backbone for my phone to play Infinite Wealth on and it was adequate for that type of game (non twitch or high intensity).

I got one when I had my baby so I could play anywhere in my house and it works pretty well. It has the occasional connection lost (but you can reconnect right away in a few seconds anyway) if I'm at the far reaches of my wifi. I've been playing Elden Ring on it so it should be fine for most games. Battery life is pretty good as well.

I have PS5 though, so this is playing through that, I haven't tried the new cloud features they just released.

People not AI will make games, PlayStation boss says

Mr Hulst acknowledged AI was changing gaming - but said there would always be a future for human developers.

"I suspect there will be a dual demand in gaming: one for AI-driven innovative experiences and another for handcrafted, thoughtful content," he told the BBC.

"Striking the right balance between leveraging AI and preserving the human touch will be crucial."
This is more on the BBC article misleading than the boss though.

Is Sony going to have another Guardians of the Galaxy inspired game flop? I’m not hearing any buzz for infergalactic space heretic prophet or whatever that name was. It feels like that wrestler that had a jersey shore gimmick and by the time he got to the WWE the fad was over.

They definitely got overshadowed by The Witcher on this one, but seems like they are still a ways out from releasing. They didn't even say 2025, did they?

I'm kinda neutral on Naughty Dog, but I hope this does well. I wish more developers would create new IPs and switch up their gameplay instead of falling down the never ending sequel spiral.

Honestly, I'm excited. It may still probably be rated M, but it seems it will invoke a lot of what them popular in the first place and hopefully bring a lot of fun back. I loved TLoU games, but this might help bring "fun" back that they used to be known for. And I'm all for Sci-Fi and when done right, Retro Sci-Fi is pretty damn sweet. I'm probably going to guess it's a 2026 game.
