If they don’t want to sign him now he really has no incentive to sign before August unless there are under the table guarantees.

I’d have to imagine he’d be a worthwhile lottery ticket for most of the league if he was a free agent. There’s certainly been worse profiles than his that have garnered that type of attention over the years.

It wasn't mentioned in the tweet but on today's PHLY podcast Charlie mentioned that Rizzo came back from an injury to play in the tournament and they (I can't recall if this was the player, organization, or both) may want him to rest/recuperate rather than join the Phantoms.
