We have to be aiming for better than Garnacho. Adding another mid-tier winger does nothing for this squad.
Speaking of a winger transfer, apparently Dortmund are discussing sending Adeyemi to Napoli for $40-50m, but the player hasn’t approved that because he has his eyes on Chelsea in the summer. That’s the rumor, at least.

There were some legitimate links last summer, but I just assumed they were tied to a "swap" of him and Maatsen since they disappeared quickly after we sold Maatsen to Villa.

Napoli apparently have been sniffind around Garnacho as well, but I don't know how much of that is real vs. Them trying to steer us away from Adeyemi.

This shouldn't come as a surprise, but the PL is the only top division to have ALL of its teams make it to the next round in each European competition.

6 of 7 also secured automatic qualification to the round of 16, if my eyes don't fail me.

I LOVE SPORTS
Happy for you. Must be nice.

CAM who can play as an 8 o. The left side. Strong on the ball, decent finishing.

Comp to a reuben lotus cheek ( Incidentally the player we sold when we bought him, if memory serves).
Ok, thanks, that makes sense. Our 8 just got hurt for the foreseeable future so it makes sense they’d try to bring in someone to fill that hole, since the other options are just awful.

He's always been highly touted, but for some reason never been used in the new setup. Seemed an integral part of Pochettinos setup last year til he got hurt, then couldnt hold a spot just due to squad size.

Has lost some time on development but has the tools to become a very good player. Instincts are good, but some obvious rawness to be expected. My hope is that the rumor around him not being available for a loan with option is because they want to keep him, but im not sure what that means if the current manager literally refuses to play him, despite a current midfielder shortage.

Sounds like Reyna. Really good, lost time due to injury, now stuck coming off the bench behind lesser players, for absolutely no logical reason, even though he’s exactly the type of player the squad desperately needs.

I wonder if this will be another Maatsen scenario. Loaned from Chelsea, plays really well, we want to keep him but we can’t afford him, he goes back and ends up somewhere else. Sadness.

I have to imagine that's the case. They want to drive up value because they've tanked it themselves ( a la the Flyers with every asset they own). Send gim somewhere they can showcase it, then create a market, sell him and go buy a younger player to repeat the process with.

These sporting directors feel more and more like Flyers management everyday except instead of chasing grit and locker room and intangibles, they're just constantly cycling the best young players who can't actually contribute today. It's infuriating.
