I think Liverpool will slip up and it’ll end up being a close finish. You guys are the only team in the top 4 that doesn’t have to worry about Champions League games too.

Kidding aside, yes but we're too frail defensively. Firepower in spades but we leak chances like a sieve. The only thing that's helping us right now is that Maresca keeps finding different ways to set up the team so that it's hard to really game plan against. The benefits of having a deep squad, I suppose.

It's pretty convoluted. The union rely alot more on academy players than using picks (though not exclusively). The general idea is that the draft is for players who aren't academy tied, so whole there's definitely still quality players there, or layer bloomers, most rely on in house development.

The Superdraft is generally used for grabbing players in American universities. These would typically be late developing players and unlikely to be top quality players.

You can get good depth in the Superdraft, but rarely game changers. The Union got Andre Blake through the Supedraft, though, and he's been one of the best goalies in the MLS for a long period.

You can get good depth in the Superdraft, but rarely game changers. The Union got Andre Blake through the Supedraft, though, and he's been one of the best goalies in the MLS for a long period.

Basically this. If you are relying on college soccer players to build your team, good luck beating the Baltimore Blast in the MISL
