Good win i hope Miller and Fox are okay
What happened??? I fell asleep in 2nd intermission and woke at 4 AM LOL...I feel great today though . I missed both guys getting hurt although I remember them saying something about Miller not on the bench in the Isles broadcast .

Hadn't routed the Isles in a long time, it seems, and on the island no less
The Isles are wrecked with injuries....the negotiating on the Dobson deal will be interesting . They were talking at least 8-9 million last season . He has had a down year with injuries to him and the team overall play and Roy as well if I was surmising .

Trocheck is not an NHL player at this point. Been going on for months.

I'll keep the same energy I have with Kreider and say Trocheck i obviously too injured to play. 2 straight games under 50% at the dot so I think that leads me to believe the finger is an issue. he also threw some wild passes and his shot were all muffins so, yeah. Problem is, unlike Kreider, we dont really have bodies to replace him. The team needs center depth if they dont trust Mika to play there anymore.

Trocheck has been abysmal for months. The finger excuse is not valid in this case. He is literally hurting the team but yet keeps getting ice-time. He already lost his spot on PP1. Drop him down to 3rd center where he belongs and let Miller and Mika run the top 6. Mika is clearly out of his funk and at PPG pace over the last 20 or so games. We need some balance on the lines.

Your argument loses weight when you say Mika is "out of his funk" because he is getting charitable donations in the form of PP points and time he doesn't deserve. Playing an injured guy like Trocheck who at least plays with consistent effort at center and moving Mika to the wing speaks volumes for people who dont have a narrative to push.

Oh so we are back to this. I forgot you are one of the damned be stats, eye test FTW type of posters.

Where is the consistent effort you talk about? Unless you mean consistently being terrible.

Mika has 19 points over the last 22 games (since jan 1st). 10 of them at even strenght. He also played 3 minutes less on average/game compared to Trocheck over that same span. Why is it so hard for some of you to give credit when credit is due? It can only be personal at this point.

no i like mika, i think he's been alright since 1/1/25. part of the recent success is due to the switch to wing, and a winger at his price is far less valuable

Did you guys miss the comprehensive analysis other posters not named Siddi presented in regards to Mikas play since the calendar turned?
He was our best player in driving play and creating offence long before Miller arrived and Mika at wing experiment began.

Since Miller joined the team Mika has been producing both at wing and at center carrying the likes of Kreider and bargain bin Kali.

Alright. Who is the other Bright Minded person here that voted for Schneider. Please step up and meet the other one that voted for him. He's quite the warrior as well as Lindy has been labeled as such. I love Braden. He's a much better version of 3 years ago less banged up Lindgren, imo he is the reason they should trade Lindy along with his beat up body that isn't going to age well. Sorry Lindy.

Also, give kudos to the 4 remaining defenseman that finished out the 3rd, shutting the door along with Shesty.

In a trying year as a Rangers fan, it always feels good to kick the shit out the Piles.
Regardless of us still not looking very good, a win is a win and especially against them. Always, always makes me feel fuzzy inside, even more than beating the likes of the Devils, and Penguins. Equally as much as Philly though.

It wasnt my vote, but I gained a ton of respect for Schneider there, not that I didnt have some already. Courageous block that imo couldve broken his leg. Stays on the ice and can barely move, goes to the locker room but knows the team is down 2 bodies and he's out for his next shift. If he can start playing with more of the mean streak that Borgen has, he will take that next step. his ice time should take a big uptick if Miller and Fox miss time. Thats what we've kinda been calling for.

Watching Fox get overtaken by regular NHL speed guys like a lion on a gazelle is painful to watch. During the power play, Igor had to come out to play the puck, as he knew Fox wouldn't get to it first in the chase with the penalty killer. And Fox was ahead at first. The numbers might indicate he's the same player, but he's just not. He gets swallowed up all over the ice this year.

Roy pulling the goalie with 8 minutes left for only a few seconds was just so bizarre.
No, I beg to differ. He gave it a shot. What happened was.......after that initial whistle, he had to put him back in. Then the Rangers had possession, play went back and forth, I think another whistle or 2.......3 or so minutes went by and then at that point he realized getting 4 goals in 4 minutes was pretty much out of the question. Nice try though.

This is exactly what i figured would happen - i mean why wouldn't it? This is the Rangers.

Talented enough to hang around the playoff line. Maybe sneak in at the end. But this team is SO flawed in so many ways, it would be so much better for the long game if they just sunk in the standings.

Dolan and Drury will be blinded by the chance to get some playoff gate, make some deals like this team actually has a chance.

We are talking about the same trophy at the top of the mountain right? Not some McDonald's Kids Meal toy version? Just checking.
