This used to be a tradition on the boards but then it stopped.

Who would you take that were available at the canucks picks?

5: Matthew Tkachuck
64 Cam Dinneen
140: Markus Nurmi
154: Matthew Phillips
184: Travis Barron
194: David Quennville

I truly feel that's a better draft top down. Now lets wait and see

5. Olli Juolevi (but would have looked to trade down)
33. Andrew Peeke
64. Jack Walker - although if we had 94 would have taken Dineen here and Walker at 94.
140. Matt Phillips
154. David Quenneville
184. David Bernhardt
194. Dmitry Sokolov

I'm not listing Tyler Soy as a late pick because he was on my list last year, and is already on my team in magic fantasyland.

194: Ty Ronning

Brings in an elite 1st line winger that we desperately need. Addresses the defense with Dineen, Walker, and Quennville. And brings in some promising skilled forwards in Kuznetsov and Ronning.

Vancouver. Duh.
If Benning is confident in his chances of landing Stammer, drafting OJ is the better option.

If he is not confident, Tkachuk was the better way to go.

Every team that has won a Cup in the last several years has had a No. 1 defenseman. Chicago: Keith, LA: Doughty, Pittsburgh: Letang.

Lots of teams have elite centers, but few have a Number 1 defenseman. OJ has the potential to be that for us.

I voted that the Canucks did not have a good draft, but not because of Juolevi, but because other than thever 5th pick, there was nothing else to be excited about.

Walker played forward this season and will play forward for the rest of his career. But Benning is the idiot.

People keep saying that OJ has #1 potential but the team that drafted him doesn't even believe that as T. Linden said there are no #1 dmen in this draft.

Super stoked with this draft!! Very happy with Juice at 5 and it sounds like the others may have some building blocks that could help.

Benning is much smarter than me though!

Looks like I was the second 'yes' vote above.

I think if we can get one of the second or third tier ufas next week we'll achieve our goal!

I'm literally going to pick random names right now within 10 spots of projection (using number generator and ISS list)

5: Nylander, Alexander
64: Anderson, Josh
140: Chris Paquette
154: Vladimir Kuznetsov
184: Olischefski, Kohen
194: De Jong, Brendan

2016 could be as bad as the 2007 draft for the Nucks.

Hindsight is 20/20. A few of you called for Ty Ronning with our 4th-6th rounders and that should be reflected in your picks.

This. A couple people wanted him with the 3rd and then conveniently put him in the 7th in their drafts now to make themselves look better loooool

It's hilarious to see that so many people want to pick 3 incredibly high risk players. Chances are they'll all never get close to the NHL and then you have 3 wasted picks

Ronning they should have taken a flyer on. Would have built some goodwill, on top of the fact that he's at least as legitimate a prospect as anyone we picked late.

Unless they think he's a shoe-in for camp. Won't hold my breath though. Probably Detroit nabs him.

doing this you realize how many picks we are lacking especially in the top rounds

Ass opposed to low-producing guys who have already been passed over and have no discernable skills? Yeah, they have such a high chance of making it.:handclap:
