I am or was a manager at one of the top 5 star hotels here in London. About an hour ago I emailed my one month notice

why am I leaving?

need a new challenge and change.

Love the hotel I work at--but I am bored to death and need something new

I quit my job in October for the same reason. Life is too short to do the same thing every day.

I hear that. Wish my job wasn't so financially good though, as it helps supply a lot of fun and adventures on my days off and holidays  . I think I would try something new in a heartbeat if I could find something interesting around my price point.

nope

I am just unhappy with how complacent I have become

also I believe that if you wait till you have a new job to quit your old job--you will never get a new job

Well you are more courageous than I. I don't think I would be able to just up and quit without some sort of security.

Quitting your hotel job to become a full time Lounge poster. Will be tough to explain at High School reunions but I wish you success!
