But the underlying engine is still garbage and runs worse than pretty much any regular message board out there. Now I'm not posting this to just plainly rag on the site, but legitimately asking a question. If work was put in to make a new and theoretically better looking style, why not upgrade the code?

I've always felt like I'm using some 1995 BBS using this site, which is whatever because the content is great, but when they go through the trouble of updating the mask and still have the underlying parts run like shit? Seems pointless, who's in charge of all of this?

"Why not upgrade the code"? This is not vBulletin anymore, so none of the code is the same.

Also, posting is significantly faster now as every post you make doesn't refresh the entire page.
