That contract will be fine. It could even be league minimum by the time of it's end. Hes not even a year off the hip surgery, next season will be a lot more telling.

I disagree with him getting his speed back, he was MacK lite from a speed perspective and I don’t think he’s close to that yet.

I’m not saying he hasn’t been solid, but there’s a clear difference between what he was last year to this year. I get he’s coming off surgery so there’s the benefit of the doubt and the contract is relatively cheap, but 6 years is an eternity in hockey
