Post-Game Talk: SNES @ Wings, Thursday night 7pm

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Tkachuk-Cozens-Greig
Zetterlund-Stutzle-Giroux
Perron-Pinto-Batherson
Highmore-Gaudette-Amadio

Were the lines at practice this morning, for those that didn't see the tweet before it was deleted.

Edit: I'll add that I actually really like these lines(Highmore and Gaudette aside), but that with 12 games left it's a little much to switch up the top-9 completely.

Practice Lines I was responding to that disappeared:

Tkachuk-Cozens-Greig
Zetterlund-Stutzle-Giroux
Perron-Pinto-Batherson
Highmore-Gaudette-Amadio

Sanderson-Zub
Jensen-Chabot
Gilbert-Hamonic

Kleven-Matinpalo

Stutzle and Pinto are not really going, Stu is playing great with the puck but he is not shooting anymore. Pinto is struggling to get his shot on time as well.

Maybe it's a way to see what the other combos bring, they already know what they have in Perron-Cozens-Batherson (a good 2nd line), for example, and can always go back to the same trios in game. I think they needed some tinkering to get Stu and Pinto to start scoring again. Just my humble opinion facts ;).

Tkachuk-Cozens-Greig are a trio of most productive forwards (Greig's not scoring but he is playing valuable/lots of minutes).

I mean we are dealing with the Greenman who has his preferences. He loves HGH, I wonder if we are seeing Kleven-Matinpalo benched in favour of Gilbert-Hamonic. Green fetish.

Never too late to scramble up the entire lineup! It's not like we don't have plenty of time to let these guys gel together or anything!

EDIT: Funny, the tweet with the practice line combos was deleted?

Looks like it, anyone remember what they were?

Also, I don't remember posting this many times on a Pre-GDT, ever. So I think it means we are eating some wings tonight!

I have noticed Pinto's struggled since Amadio was moved off his line.

It was probably the most valuable line on the team during their winning streak.

Part of the problem is that moving anyone to the 4th line means playing with Highmore and Gaudette.

Being on the 4th line itself isn't necessarily the problem, it's just that those particular guys can get hemmed in, they have brainfarts and Gaudette doesn't really contribute much as far as an energy line is concerned unless he's scoring.

These look like the real lines. Still don't like Giroux on the top line. He can't keep up with Stu and Zetterlund and the line was clicking.

Yeah but he negates anything good pinto and Greig do.

So gets him with two skaters that can handle the puck and make better use of his skillset.

Tkatchuk can fit in with pinto and Greig

Perron and Pinto worked well together a while back. Hopefully these lines work otherwise i would consider that shake up as well.

XXXX-Stutzle-XXXX
XXXX-Cozens-Batherson
Perron-Pinto-Greig

shuffle around Tkachuk,Zetterlund,Giroux

So... how long until we find out whether Hamonic is the scratch and Matinpalo is subbing in, or Kleven is the scratch and Gilbert is subbing in...

We haven't hit rock bottom yet.

This will be another loss.
The Emo is strong with this one

Okay.. A slow day.. So I need to throw a hand grenade in there

Travis Hamonic is a Metis

Travis Greene is from Castlegar, BC... A community that has a large native/Indigenous population.

Is it possible that coach Greene has native/indigenous connections and is being loyal to a fellow tribe member?

The Kootenay/Ktunaxa tribe may have originated from central Canada. Making them and the Metis of Manitoba from the same origins.

Coach Greene would not be the first person to help out his own.
