In terms of sneaking in little nip bottles of liquor or a water bottle into the Garden, how possible is it, and what’s the best way to do it?

Really don’t want to spend another $50 on water and alcohol when I’ve already spent so much on the tickets.

thanks!

I haven’t had luck. They check bags and do pat downs at the building entrances. MSG serves all bottles and cans without tops, so I doubt security will let one through at the gates.

You're going to spend the $50 anyway and lose whatever $ you spent on the shit you're trying to sneak in.

Why not buy drinks beforehand from a deli or beer spot, and get drunk before gates open and no worries about sneaking anything in,. No reason to spend money at MSG especially on overpriced alcohol

As long as it's not in a metal container or in something that has metal in it like a cap, I think you might be good?

I've been to a bunch of games at MSG over the past few months they do not pat people down, they just tell you to take most things, and definitely those contaning metal, out of your pockets and then have you walk through the metal detector.

So maybe try a flask made of plastic or something hidden in a coat or sweatshirt pocket. Internal pocket would be better.

I remember all the good times me and my inebriated brain have had surrounded by 20,000 people in an enclosed space.

Spoiler: awful times.

... Yall ever heard of pre-gaming?

Yeah, but there's nowhere good to pregame at or around MSG. Pensy's is closed, the surrounding bars are overpriced and crazy crowded on Gamedays. No where to tailgate, unless you like the floor of Penn Station.

Beer carts at Rose Pizza in Penn Station used to cost $6 for two pints of domestic draft. Are they still there? Haven't been to a game in years

It isn’t as hard to do as people are making it out to be. May not be a “prime” choice, but you could put probably 5 nip bottles in your briefs, especially if you don’t wear tight pants and have a large jersey or hoodie covering your hips. May not be super comfortable walking to your seats, but once you’re in you can transfer them to a purse or put them inside of a hat you’re not wearing or something. Then just go take shots in a bathroom stall whenever you feel like it. Or buy a coke and pour them in.

I typically pregame and I’ve also snuck liquor into a LOT of concerts and sporting events.

I literally always bring a bottle of water in my back pocket. Never have had another stop me for it
