You play 11-7 in his first game back, no question in my mind. Though, if Ekholm comes back and is effective, this blueline is just amazing.

Ok, so we hope for a long jets-stars series and then we suddenly could get both back a lot sooner in the series, or even before.

It will have to be Karma.

The Oilers have played the Jets in every playoff when the won their five cups.

Not 100% sure but the three other finals appearances the Oilers went to did not involve playing the Jets.

We need to beat the Jets to win the Cup. It's the only way. It's like Pittsburgh having to beat the Capitals on the way to each one of their Cups.

I don't think it will matter how long the Jets/Stars series goes. Seems like they more or less have a fixed date for the start of the 3rd round, which takes a 7 game series into account. And I think the return time-line for the 2 players is based on a certain date rather than where we are in the series. Great news though!

Keep in mind that the Oilers made it to the WCF with that guy at the bottom as their top-pairing RHD...so basically in spite of him.

I kinda figured Pickard might be more hurt than anyone thought after seeing the replay. I was shocked he finished that game but adrenaline is a helluva drug.
A persons knee/lower leg isn't supposed to bend that way. I don't think he'll be back these playoffs at all TBH.
