By my eyes the closest Vegas came to producing a drop was last few minutes of 2nd period. At no point last night was my heart rate even increased.

Believe me the Oilers stomped Vegas heart in game 1. i've seen this kind of thing before and was shocked how awful Vegas were to let that home game get away from them. You can't lose that game one. you lose your whole room. Then theres other things like idiot hertl injuring his own trainer breaking his stick on the bench in game 3. clown stuff.

By the end of the series Vegas playes just wanted it to end. Losing all 3 home games, lol. Never seen that before.

Good point. Beating them in every one of their home games is a black eye. Not like their "fans" care anyway. They couldn't even be bothered to chant "Skinner." Obviously just a crowd of tourists.

This was funny to me too. Somehow.

It was as close to a non involved crowd as it gets. Any amount of distraction and carnival and piped noise doesn't change that. No atmosphere in Building yesterday. In some way its different that the most intense crowds Oilers will see this postseason is LA and DAllas (if its that) If we get to final I'm expecting Florida again, which is wild in a way a club getting to final 3X in a row. Could be Canes though in the east.

Still not overly confident in him, but we have alot of players who sucked in the season and are stepping it up in the playoffs, Skinner is one of them. Its great to see it. Some people would rather focus on the negatives and not celebrate the positives.

So for the Leafs, I look at Skinner in this series see something similar. They need confidence. They need to make "that play" get that goal, make that stop (in goal of defensively) and get that confidence back in their team and their game.

They definitely miss Marchessault. I don’t understand how you trade a Conn Smythe winner almost within a calendar year of winning the Conn Smythe. He kind of stirred that drink. Stone is good but he’s too unreliable with his health issues and Marchy is just a massive hole they didn’t really fill.

I was so happy when I found out they were gonna let him walk for nothing.

Vegas has always been interested in the next shiny toy and they were banking on Hertl who was invisible again.

As was pointed out last night we have home ice advantage against either Florida Or Carolina in the finals both those teams went 3-6-1 last 10 games of the regular season and Oilers went 7-3 that would be huge bonus if we get there again

I mentioned with that slam into the boards how could it not impact? Man that would be some bruises even maybe contusion. If I went into the boards that hard I'd feel like I was dead. (well not really, ive been a cyclist hit by cars 3X.)

McD and DRai are some real tough hombres. Makes it so much more special that not only do we have two generational superstars they are throwback tough. Tough as they make. Can take ANY pain.

He’s got his girlfriend turned into an Oilers fan but she was perplexed when he explained that regarding the Leafs/Panthers you could cheer for both teams to lose. Our goal is for every series to go seven games with multiple injuries. Years of Oilers fandoms has turned our hearts into stone.

From I remember Knoblauch said they "Expect him back in the next round" whatever that means. They'll have a bit of time, so I suspect we'll get more info as it goes. Great news though.

That's what Bob said previously, but now Lebrun is saying that round three may not start until next Wednesday. Fingers crossed that extra week of rest is enough for Ekholm to get back into the lineup.
