Don't know why the NHL doesn't promote the Oilers more. You have NBA legends like Barkley and Shaq rooting for us. Fands love superstars and there's none bigger in hockey than Mcdavid. Instead they want to focus on sunbelt teams, Matthews and Bedard.

I'd be super curious to see this Leafs core play Carolina this year, who is squeaky clean in comparison.

I still remember that Todd Marchant goal. Was about the same age as snipes jr is now.

I think there is some truth to this.

People like to compare Oilers top-4 or top-6 to the Leafs... but the Leafs don't have a Kane, they don't have a winger (anymore) like Hyman who shockingly leads the playoffs in hits by 20!! (over Max Pac, who is a shadow of his former self)... and more to the point, they don't have superstars who will get angry in a tight series and nut check you (Drai) or lay you out with an elbow (McD).

I'm still pulling for them, but they've gotta get angry and 'find a way'.

The knights didn't have one play or game or opportunity to pull such a stunt. The one game they won was on a basic fluke own goal with .4seconds left.

I mean if you're Vegas what moment or game in the series would you be celebrating, even if that was your disposition. I think maybe Stone in first game was in that Celly mode but him and the Knights were never seen again.

A day later and if I'm GM watching this vegas team in playoffs I'm cleaning house. Arguably the Oilers worst roster player right now, that only played 2 games, was digging 4X to get a goal, a series winning OT goal. If your a Vegas player, any of you in the room ask yourself why theres not one example of a play like that. Of crashing the net, of digging for goals etc. Vegas club had no heart and belief. Easy to tell the players that did. Karlsson, Reilly Smith, and Hill were the only ones trying to battle hard.

The Oilers had EVERY player that hit the ice battling hard. This is a sweep without an own goal.

Not so sure about the assessment of Vegas not battling. Game last night went to OT, and every inch of ice was hotly contested.

Yeah the main forum is pathetic.

In pre series thread, people were saying Vegas had better forward depth. I guess the LA series didn’t count.

Its going to be the same thing with Dallas. Oilers depth outplayed Dallas depth last year and our forwards depth (and our defensive depth) are better than last year.

We will see how it goes. Rantanen is a big add for Dallas. I think they have been looked pretty average these playoffs though outside of Rantanen.

I think Edmonton has better forwards and defense than Dallas. I think they will have problems with our physicality too.

They have Oettinger though. But let’s not forget that Skinner outplayed him last year and is trending up.

Not just the main forum. The media are just as ignorant. Dallas will be “ deeper” just watch if they advance . Most are clueless honestly
