Post-Game Talk: Smiling Stu Shutouts x 2!

Van fan here. Was gonna post this ahead of time but I was afraid I might jinx it.

Suppose to be golden knight not shadow knight but you know, you get the idea.

Two reasons I'm rooting for you guys, neither of which are worth mentioning.

You can see this teams maturation the last few years. I know he sounded like a goof (spec), but I really believe these guys have had their Steve Yzerman moment.

As staples said tonight, you got to play and decide to play championship defense
Depth actually showing up is a big part of it imo. When you've got 4 lines scoring goals you gain the luxury of being able to tell Draisaitl to just go out and neutralize Eichel because you don't need him trying to force offense to win for once. Then he sets up the winner anyways.

Drai's mindset is exactly what it will take for this team to win a championship.

Peterpan claiming to be injured. Let’s have a round of applause for the Oiler forwards who punished the Vegas defense at every opportunity. Zach Hyman with 13 hits tonight. 13. That’s an unreal number.

Hopefully these playoffs finally puts to rest the talk of KK being a pu**y and that the Oilers won’t hit because of their coach’s philosophy. It’s about having his eye on the prize the entire season, knowing that he had an older group, and it made zero sense to be a hitting machine in the regular season. He also knew that Kane being back would drag everyone into the fight.
