If EDM can play overall team D like this, Skinner will put up good numbers. Can't leave goalies out to dry. This type of D is how they looked during their 16 game winning streak .Stu shit-talker here but buddy killed it the last two games. Oilers played great in front of him
but he made the saves he needed too
Jackson: Skinner, Arvidsson, Emberson
Bowman: Kapanen, Walman, Klingberg
Kane is the X factor.
Didn’t we literally win two shutout games in a row against the Sharks in 2017?There is no way previous Oilers teams in the McDrai era would’ve been able to post two straight shutouts. They’ve learned how to win.
Did we? Feels like a lifetime ago lol.Didn’t we literally win two shutout games in a row against the Sharks in 2017?
2-0 Game 2 and 1-0 Game 3. Talbot was nails that year though. I remember the Kassian game and that Slepyshev scored on a breakaway lolDid we? Feels like a lifetime ago lol.
McDavid even looked furious in the handshake line!
Channeling his black mamba.
Depth actually showing up is a big part of it imo. When you've got 4 lines scoring goals you gain the luxury of being able to tell Draisaitl to just go out and neutralize Eichel because you don't need him trying to force offense to win for once. Then he sets up the winner anyways. You can see this teams maturation the last few years. I know he sounded like a goof (spec), but I really believe these guys have had their Steve Yzerman moment.
As staples said tonight, you got to play and decide to play championship defense

Definitely exhausted, probably just wants a few brews
Peterpan claiming to be injured. Let’s have a round of applause for the Oiler forwards who punished the Vegas defense at every opportunity. Zach Hyman with 13 hits tonight. 13. That’s an unreal number.
Some people were chapped that we didn’t get Carlo and Laughton.
