Post-Game Talk: Smiling Stu Shutouts x 2!

Pietrangelo saying in the post-game that he was injured, but was going to play no matter what. Glad Kapanen and Hyman "targeted" him repeatedly with big hits. At least this time Pietrangelo didn't try to break his stick over somebody's arm
He’s not much of a tough guy. Chris Pronger might have actually killed guys like Hyman and Kapannen if they’d have tried targeting him in a playoff series.

I was defending Kaps play during season and also last game. he can bring good play for periods of time. he tends to fade away after 5 games but usually because he can't score much. But he came through tonight in style. I should call him scoring the winner more often.

What a time to score. What a time to be alive.

Somebody check on Flava Flav.

My lord what a terrible series for Vegas fans. Haha, see their club lose every game. Wouldn't be any happiness without Oilers fans there.
But those Oiler fans sounded pretty happy!

I don't care how many teams he's linked to or how many interviews he's given, I think Woodcroft's real chance of landing another NHL head coaching job is near zero. And deservedly so.
We were told by the smart people on this board before Woody was fired that he would have his choice of jobs if we were stupid enough to let him go. I guess he’s still holding out for the one he really wants.

Hyman 13 hits tonight, up to 65 hits in 10 playoffs games played.

In 73 regular season games he had 59 hits total.
Gotta love Hyman. Doesn’t have that magic goal scoring touch lately, no problem, he makes up for it in other ways.

The vets we have scared us at times during the season but they figure out how to get it done when it matters most.

Smart shit from Hyman. He noticed that his scoring touch dried up and went back to what made him successful before: forechecking. He's been tenacious these playoffs and been very physical. Smart player, if you can't be effective conventionally, be effective unconventionally.
