I said it in the GDT but Panarin’s lazy effort on the ice can’t sit well with the Rangers top players. Mika Fox Trouba Lindgren are all blocking shots and taking hits all over the ice and Panarin sits in his office away from the action. When the highest paid player on the team is giving noticeably less, it’s a problem

am I the only one who doesn't see how Panarin is being lazy? to me it seems like he's out there trying his ass off while his two linemates skate into each other and shoot the puck three feet wide. i love Kreider but he made one of the dumbest passes of the season which led directly to the third goal and nobody has even mentioned it once in this thread. instead everyone wants to bag on Panarin who was on the ice for 15 scoring chances for and only 3 against (at 5on5).

I can't believe you guys want more prospects.

I would unload.

Not for a shitty grandpa like Kane but for youngish forwards that somebody else already developed.
I want prospects that have a chance to develop away from here. Like come in 3 years after draft at 21 years old ready to actually contribute. Not sure if we are capable of making another Zibby type trade. Most youngish forwards that are decent players are pretty tough to acquire.

Also where was Trouba tonight? Playing such an emotionless game stems from him and Kreider, who may not be 100% to be fair

This is a one or two round team and that’s it. They don’t have enough talent and heart to go to the dirty areas and pay the price to score. Everything is to the perimeter. Everything is a forced cross ice pass, I feel like I’m in World of CHEL on NHL 23. The d hardly shoots and when they do the shots either go wide or nobody’s in front screening. Too many passengers and no drivers. They’re slow, boring, not physical enough. The power play is a joke and yet they keep trying the same bullshit every time, that’s on both the players and coaching staff. At some point you have to either change your strategy or the personnel and neither is happening, it’s half a season now for f***s sake.
And therein lies the problem....and it's been a problem for years.....yet their solution is to go out and bring in more high end talent. I don't think the idea of actually bringing in players who will go into the dirty areas ever crosses their minds.

Tonite gives Drury a measuring stick - is it worth a big deadline to make a run only to lose in 5 instead of 4 to Boston ?

I once feared trading Lafrenniere and then having him bite us like mike Ridley … no longer.

Ask yourself - does Timo Meier and Tyler Motte make that a 4-3 nyr OT win?

We are going to spend assets at the trade deadline to acquire youngish forwards to be what we hoped Lafreniere and Kakko could be thereby increasing the chances Lafreniere and Kakko never actually become what we hoped they could be.

No quit in NY.

It's really about him and Trocheck. They give up too many odd man rushes. GG mentioned it wasn't Kravtsov’s fault but he's got to put someone on the RW that is somewhat defensively responsible.
Maybe so. I’m not in GG’s head. But they have to score more than one goal. Can’t beat anyone scoring one goal.

Even worse than tonight’s result is that me, my wife, and our daughter came to the decision that it’s time to say goodbye to our dog.

He’s been fighting cancer since July and it has eaten his muscle mass, as well as him blowing out his ACLs years ago, and now he is struggling to get up and move. He gave me a look when I went up to bed like, dad it’s time.

I’m going to miss him so much.

Ok, seriously, it's nothing personal towards Igor but I have to whinge about this.

Boston went from Thomas to Rask, and then when they lost Rask, they dug up Patrick Roy Jr. and Georges Vezina III from the crypt the Undertaker lives in when he's not wrestling.

Goaltenders are like picking berries off of a f***ing bush. I boggles my mind that NHL GM's pay money for them.

Let’s see. So far he hasn’t done that. So let’s give Drury the benefit of the doubt. I will, at least, for now.

The top 6 is soft. I don’t expect it from Mika but Kreider has become a gentle giant away from the puck and Panarin is literally allergic to the middle ice. Idk how they fix it

Went through this in July. It sucks but you are giving your dog the gift of a safe and comfortable passage. Do it in your home with an organization like Lap of Love if you have the option.

My guy its January 19th and the Rangers are legitimately playing in the toughest, most competitive division in the league. They are going to be fine. They will add the depth and quality they need to fill out the lineup.

Hugo Ollas just becoming Ben Bishop taking up the entire net to piss off our rivals is what I am hoping for.

I like Igor a lot, but 10 million a year for a goalie is stupid.
