I agree regarding most things but not whole heartedly regarding Badinka. Again, if he was good enough it's the managements job to select him. Even if they need to convince him and- or apologize for not selecting him earlier.
No matter if he's stubborn and dumb it's doesn't take that much for a federation or the staff to both select him and motivate the youngster.
These juniors can be a bit more black or white with their perspective but I don't believe it's difficult to change the scenery and both select and convince them that the team will be stronger with them.
I mean he's a SHL regular as a young foreigner. That says a lot for me. He has size and is an early pick.
But yeah, you guys told me he's known to be difficult... But who said that? The staff? Who shared that info out officially?
GG's. Sweden will now win comfortably.
Yeah I agree 100%, I think there was rumours about him being difficult and refusing to represent at U20 level, clearly there is some problem between him and Augusta, cause he represented without problem at U18 level.
But yeah, he is still a dumb kid, maybe too confident, thinking too much about himself, whatever, but it should be a staff and coach job, to make it work even with players who can be dificult. In the end they are experienced adults and should show more maturity.
The explanation of Augusta to why Badinka is not nominated was "He refused friendly tournaments and we dont think he is diferential enough to go straight to WJC" - so nothing much needs to be said here imo, if coach gives such a stupid explanation lol
