If Draisaitl is indeed below 100%, why not play him with better wingers rather than the dregs? That worked for a game or two against Vegas, but Dallas is an entirely different animal. Why not give him at least Kane?

If Drai isn't 100% than putting him in a checking role lets him still have an impact on games. Plus I don't mind Podz and Kapanen taking a second to get the puck to an injuried Draisaitl; I do mind McDavid, RV or Kane taking a second to get the puck to an injuried Draisaitl when they were better off just attacking themselves.


Also it's nice to know that even with Brown going down, they still have a quality player in RV ready to come in. Personally I'm curious to see see RV and Kane together: Both love creating offence through chaos and I can see them cause hell for opposing defences.

Why change something that’s working though? The goal is to win hockey games and that’s what they are doing and looking good doing it.

They didn’t even outplay us in the 3rd period of game 1. They got 3 PP goals in a 7 minute span and that won them the game. Period 2 today was the only period that they’ve outplayed us so far.
