There's been a lot of talk on the threads which said that when the Oilers were getting solid goaltending then the team up front played much better but I think the opposite also holds true.

The Oiler's solid team/defensive play in game #2 seems to have given Stu some renewed confidence. I got the feeling today that he was thinking "even if I make a serious mistake, the guys will still win the game because they are playing so well." So in turn, his confidence level rises and he plays well.

And how about the Captain today? Well he's the best player in the world so what would you expect?

Dallas carried a lot of the play the last 2 periods and still got their asses kicked. Skinner with the most unexpected turnaround I have ever seen.

Even though he let in one, that was the best game Skinner had played since the Game 6 win against Dallas last year. He was just phenomenal today.

Can't win without goaltending. Skinner was awesome throughout. Outworked, outdueled, and outperformed the pedigree guys the other end. He's had locked in team defense in the games they've won. Today it was a goaltender winning one for the team. Hyman X-goals met actual production today with a beast two goal game fuelled by tenacious forecheck and heavy 9 hit game. Thank you once again Kyle Dubas.

Nuge with another 200 foot game with production sparking wins. Team two game is dialled in with EV scoring at one end and great team defending beginning with aggressive neutral zone play and home plate defending to help clear rebounds for their goaltender. If they can get this PP going look out.

I can't tell if Dallas is a much worse team this year compared to last year, or Edmonton is a better team compared to last year. Probably a bit of both

What Skinner gave us in that 2nd period was nothing short of spectacular. Without him, we leave that period trailing.

McDavid with a clutch dagger at the end of the 2nd and RNH with a phenomenal game (and series) too.

Huge win. We're a much better team than Dallas. Destroy them again on Tuesday.

That power play though could have put it away before the refs kept the puck in for Dallas to score.
