Skinner needed to prove he could put back to back good games together in the playoffs. He hadn’t done it before. Tonight he finally did and he was outstanding.

Stu is the hero but give L.A. some credit too. They had their backs against the wall but played a great game in limiting the Oilers to 13 shots. Not many teams in the NHL could have held them to that level.

Skinner winner with a huge game. Dialed in. Nurse, Desharnais were excellent all game. Super high confidence to pair Desiharnais Ekholm to close out this game. Really liked McLeod's defensive game tonight. Fantastic deep support all game in the right spots to support team defending.

EDIT: Add credit to Oil PK group. Perfect this game and all series.

The special teams have been the series. The Teams have been equal at EV. Its the clear difference in series. Kings had their chance to score on PP and have nothing going on that first unit. Completely disjointed, a lot of that due to Fiala.

But credit Oilers who pressure very well on PK.

Another comment that this impeccable play is coming without Connor Brown on the team or on the PK. With guys like Henrique added he's really not needed at all. Henrique had a lot of own zone brilliant moments including last minutes. Quiet moments but shutting things down at key times when there were scrambles.

Great game by Skinner, probably stole us this one. It wasn’t pretty but we’ll take it! F@ck the Kings…refs let them get away with numerous infractions and they still couldn’t win. Dirty dogshit loser team.

I think the Oilers just played the game like that to be kind to the fans. Basically ran it like a straight time game so we could all get some sleep after the late start.

Pretty close to the same I think. Kings player better than us this game for sure, but the team was playing really good defense honestly.

Despite the shot count I think the Oilers did a good job keeping them to the outside and the Kings resorted to throwing random pucks at the net hoping for a lucky bounce.

If a person were to take a drink for every missed call on the Kings they would have been dead by the end of the 2nd. Some egregious missed calls, Doughtys interference on mcD breaking up a breakaway or maybe a 1on 1 was especially unbelievable.

This is the exact type of game Ekholm has been talking about since he got here. The importance of pulling out these tight, low scoring games is huge. Loved the defensive composure and discipline shown tonight.

Probably not. Kings can't win the series and knew it going in. Nashville would feel terrible losing their game and going to vancouver because they collapsed and gave up 3 goal comeback to a bad team. That is nothing like this game and the Kings are playing the Cup favorites. Would they feel shamed in this game? Don't think so.
