It was definitely a windup, he put some force into it. Again, if that happened to McDavid this fanbase would be calling the offender a piece of shit.Nasty slash? Lol.
It was a backhanded slash with barely any windup

He’s been good but Walman leads the playoffs in plus minus. Nurse and Bouch are beasting it. Kulak has been a rock and Klinger is killing it. Stetcher is number 7 for a reason it’s nothing personal just reality. What part of Stecher's game are you disappointed with?
I get what you're saying but there was 16+ minutes left in the game & game #1 felt pretty comfortable until we.............took a penalty.Sorry, but completely disagree. I haven't liked a lot of the dumb things Nurse has done in the past, but this action was spot on. Hinsz had been running around, acting tough, and just finished cross checking Nurse in the back. Nurse sent him and some of the other wannabe toughs a strong message - f*** around and find out. A comfortable 3 goal lead, with Skinner and a whole bunch of others on their game and not a ton of time left. Nurse was an absolute stud last night.
Meh. I'd rather Nurse keep that kind of attitude in his game. He's way more effective when he's got that swagger and isn't taking shit from anyone.Lucky, Nurse has to stop with this dumb shit especially with Ekholm out. He's too valuable to the team and there's too much at stake. If the Oilers simply cut the stupid out of the game (adding in the stupid Kane and Perry penalties in Game 1) and they'd likely be favorites for the Cup. Just cut the stupid out, it should be easy for vets to recognize this.

Yes I will agree with that. Ceci was great in game 7s thoughI think we can all agree that Stecher is an upgrade on Ceci and Vinny. I even thought so when he first came in and they sat Ceci for a couple games.
Nurse shouldn’t take the fight. No need to. Also, if he doesn’t- he’s in the Stars head which means they will be off their game. Perfect opportunity to play pestSame thing DeBoer said - if that was McDavid that took the slash, it would have been 5 minutes. I have no doubt Nurse will be in a fight next game. Hopefully though it's someone that's more useful to the Stars than the incompetent Has-Benn. In the meantime, fire up the wammmmmmbalence!!![]()
They aren’t even playing the same sport. Stetcher is so much more the player than Ceci is it’s ridiculousI think we can all agree that Stecher is an upgrade on Ceci and Vinny. I even thought so when he first came in and they sat Ceci for a couple games.
And not even by a little bit- by a lot. He’s an elite d-man. I think it was Mike Kelly on Gregor’s show that said that Makar, Hughes, Werenski make more mistakes than Bouchard- Edmonton fans just don’t watch them regularly to see it. I’ve said it before- only 11% of Bouchard’s turnovers. 6th best in the league. He was also 4th in dman scoring. He has set a record for points in a playoff for a dman. He is second all time in points per game. He is 25- isn’t even in his prime yet. Fans need to recognize what they have.He was unfairly blamed and dogpiled by not only the media but hordes of idiots all season. The metrics always favored Bouchard.
He is also just 25.Ok Evan is getting paid and worth every penny. For all the hate he seems to get I want people to remember these stats below.
He’s plus 4 with 15 points. He’s shaky in the regular season sometimes but in the playoffs he’s very good. Hell for all the he doesn’t play D talk he was plus 14 this year.
He’s got 238 points in 347 games. His career plus minus is plus 64. He only had one season where he finished a minus. He was -2.
In 66 playoff games he is plus 6 with 73 points.
He makes big errors but he’s also a damn good d man when you look at his body of work.
7-5 to lift the cup with half the games at Rogers![]()
Not surprising most of the "Experts' are clueless and don't seem to know how good the oilers are tbhCassie said something good about the Oilers? I missed it. She must be ill. She picked Stars in 6 FWIW.
I legit turn off the tv and do something else pre-game, intermission, or post game on major networks, they are all just awful and rarely give the oilers team credit. Dallas is deeper? LOL sure ok.Man I avoid ever having to hear anything she had to say.
That type of slash happens many times ina single game come on. The play on mcdavid was far more dangerous. You're kidding, right? It was a pretty nasty slash and quite frankly idiotic slash, if it was done to McDavid you'd be crying bloody murder. You can battle without slashing at the leg. Not saying he should have been suspended but he could have been.
Game one was a one-off. We corrected the things that went bad, so I wasn't too worried. I truly think we should be up 2-0, but the hockey gods gave the Stars a batch of breaks and puck luck in a very short span in the first game. I'm all about the process more than anything, and if that stays at a high level, the results will take care of themselves.I get what you're saying but there was 16+ minutes left in the game & game #1 felt pretty comfortable until we.............took a penalty.
If they had scored on that, especially if it was a somewhat bad goal, I'd prefer not to think what could have happened.
Yup, I think in hindsight we can say it was fine that he sent a message, etc, but there was way too much time left on the clock, he slashed a known bad actor who was looking to give his team a PP, and the refs were a whisker away from giving them a 5 min one. With how our PK has been, that was a risk we can't be taking at that time of the game.I get what you're saying but there was 16+ minutes left in the game & game #1 felt pretty comfortable until we.............took a penalty.

Dallas is indeed deeper in the regular season play. And that's if you go soley by goals and points. But the playoffs are a far different animal, and it's the reason teams like the Leafs and Jets aren't playing.I legit turn off the tv and do something else pre-game, intermission, or post game on major networks, they are all just awful and rarely give the oilers team credit. Dallas is deeper? LOL sure ok.
I can’t get over that paddle save. That was bonkers.
There is no way Walman would sit.I definitely see how it becomes tough once Ekholm returns. I'm guessing we still want an even split of LD and RD.
Ekholm-Bouchard
Nurse-Stecher
Kulak-Klingberg
Man, sitting Walman? maybe we go with 11-7?
I was in favour of switching Perry out for Arvidsson but if Dallas wants to turn this into a trench fight then we'll probably need the worm.

Isn’t this a stupid thing for him to say?
Hintz has drawn 8 penalties so far these playoffs, the most in the entire league, it's his calling card. He's made of glass, gotta be careful with guys like that, for some reason the refs seem to love him.Yeah, just watch any battle in front of the net. Crosscheck, slash, crosscheck, slash, guys hacking the backs of legs as guys skate away, goalies doing some of the same. Just a total fluke for Nurse to hit a perfect spot, and maybe Hintz having a past fractured left foot (and I believe he's had numerous other foot/ankle injuries in the past too) played a role.
