Post-Game Talk: Skinner Does Dallas

DeBoer crying about the penalty not being a 5 is actually showing how he knows how f***ed the Stars are 5v5 and needed a major to try and get back in the game with how bad the Oilers PK has been.
I half expect them to start randomly diving during the play after "contact" to see if they can draw random unseen penalties (that aren't penalties).

Incoming in person hearing.

I don't think so. It wasn't egregious, and he was buzzing around Stu's blue paint like a fruit fly on sht. If we see Hintz back next game, completely unphased, then we know he tried to sell, but the refs weren't buying. Similar to Kempe 1st round, went to dressing room trying to make it look like he got injured on the penalty, refs didn't buy, and what do you know, Kempe back next game, at 110%

I wonder if the refs begin to respect a coach like Knoblauch a bit more when guys like Deboer and Maurice call them out and cry to the media so often. Knoblauch doesn’t freak out during games or call refs out, he’ll gently comment on it from time to time but that’s it.

Maybe it’s already happening because I didn’t feel there were outrageous calls this game

Dallas players working up justifications in their heads to play dirty next game

Dallas fans waxing about how Nurse intentionally tried to injure Hintz, and that the league is out the get them because they won't do anything to the ankle murderer due to Edmonton being league's favorite team.

Series could get really spicy with the Dallas Martyrs getting all worked up now

Refs are probably more concerned with the on-ice stuff. Like they pretty obviously hated Keefe because he would scream at them endlessly from the bench.
