Post-Game Talk: Skinner Does Dallas

Dallas was doing the 11-7. Not sure where Heiskanen fit in with that mix, but he was only playing like 12 minuts for a while.

The fun part of this is that our D is cutting it without Ekholm. Even if Ekholm comes in soon, it seems like we are mostly prepping him for the finals (if we can get there of course)
Thanks for correcting. I thought they ran him with 6 d-man deployment with reduced minutes. In absence of this team's elite PP, they have been wearing teams down with a strong, aggressive and productive four line deployment. I wouldn't mess with it. The d-corp when locked in like tonight and supported by great forward backtrack has been excellent. Beyond my wildest dreams this team would defend this well without Ekholm. But where he is missed is the poor PK and critical high leverage and close out situational play.

It’s pretty sad that these coddled teams like Vegas and Dallas whine about the reffing after every loss. DaBore can’t stop yapping about how Nurse should have got five for a play that was nothing more than a minor, an everyday kind of slash. I’m sure they have been in contact with Gary and George demanding a suspension, which as bizarre as it sounds, I wouldn’t rule it out.
It's just embarrassing

another factor is that our 4th line isn't all that great. Losing someone there in favor of keeping Stecher makes some sense to me, especially if it helps ease in Ekholm (and makes it easier to shut down Ekholm mid-game if he doesn't feel right after intense play).

That embellishment want just embarrassing, see you next game.

Byfield 2.0… but worse
So I think it was both. I remember years back in the playoffs Chara taking what looked like a low key slash on the back of the leg and he dropped like a stone. I think Hinz did have a something bothering him, but yeah definitely hoped to get that 5 as well.

He probably didn't come back out because they probably took his skate off and you know lol.

I wouldn't mess with that 4th line. Janmark is a gritty playoff guy with speed and PK ability. Perry can move up and down the lineup and pitching in with big goals. Frederic's been underwhelming but keep his size and heavy game in to sustain the punishment on Dallas. Stetcher's a good utility #7/6 but can sit if/when Ekholm is cleared to return. Easy call for me.
