Nah you're out to lunch.

He's giving it away by blaming US agents and Journalists.

But sure, bring up some middling nobodies that also didn't get ice time in their D+1 to make your point.

Is Buchelnikov a middling nobody? He signed a 3 year deal with SKA and also received little to no ice time. There was no way on gods green earth he wasn't good enough to play on SKA.

As if we needed more proof SKA treats all juniors like scrubs.
Canadiens supporters who believe SKA is punishing or holding Demidov hostage need to remove the tinfoil hat. Rotenberg just lives in a warped self centered and self rigghteous bubble.

Russian media is starting to question Rotenberg about his blanket misuse of young players, as they should.

It's NHL fans/media who focus solely on their own individual prospects and, of course, sprinkle it with conspiracy theories and negative stereotypes because Russia is the ready-make bad guy.

In truth Roma Rotenberg is a horrible mixture of arrogance and incompetence. Nothing more or less.

Holy shit what an absolute imbecile.

He figured us out guys, we're all being paid off by US agents.

To be fair, Rotenberg is talking about NHL player agents located in the US attempting to influence hockey media. Not US political/government agents.

Not that it makes it any less absurd.

Do we believe Flyers paid SKA a bonus to get Michkov out of his contract? I presume that is against the rules and asswipe Gary should be penalizing them. Of course that would mean Ottawa losing another 1st.:sarcasm:

There is no transfer agreement between the KHL and the NHL due to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine. Bettman has nothing to do with this at all.

When there was an agreement the player could buy out his own contract but could not use funds from the team that he was transferring to. Rotenberg's heavy handed behaviour is very common in Russian bureaucracies and this was to be expected.

I guarantee that this is as much or more about Rotenberg's ego vs western media and western social media narratives than it is about Demidov himself.
