I genuinely wonder what the team's plan is with Rocky. Does he have some Torts/Clarke/Holmgren/old boys club connection I don't know about? That's the only reason I can see this team being this blindly loyal to him.

Torts like to have assistants that are even dumber than he is so he can flaunt his intellectual superiorty.

Whatever Calder bonus is in MM’s contract should be covered by the FO. Their clown behind the bench kept him from winning that.

I have been saying this for a while now. The media loves bringing up accountability with this guy but it’s hot garbage. Cates, Hathaway, Laughton don’t get held accountable for the mistakes they make while the skill guys sit for a period or longer.

It's astounding as talented as Michkov is, won't even be a calder finalist lmao. Imagine if the Sharks drafted him and he was playing with Celebrini right now, they'd be absolutely killing it over there in San Jose and be 1 and 2 for Calder voting.
 
when they first got tippet and we were all like what a loser bust (and we traded for him in the Giroux deal) but then they just basically gave up on the season and let tippet basically just run up and down the ice and it was a throw away season so whatever but it was Tippet unleashed with no pressure and that was the team theme and was fun -- its like why not be doing that again especially when yo saw what it did w tippet...

Because #culture, and Michkov skill and creativity must be battered right the hell out of him and turned into a grinder, checker because that builds character, we're not allowed to have nice things and the authentics continue to buy tickets and Flyers gear. Rocky and John forever #halfacentury

He had 27 points in his first 26 NHL games.

Had a 3 or 4 game stretch where he has zero puck luck and was then scratched. Hasnt been the same player since.

Not just in production, but in the way he plays the game. Afraid to take chances, always looking to get rid of the puck asap, and just generally looking like all of the joy has been sucked out of his game.

Torts is a f***ing CANCER.

Looks like Laine is getting Michkov treatment last 5 games they drastically cut his ice time and he has all of 4 shots during that span. On the other hand they are doing everything they can to get Slafkovsky going and have Hutson on top pair.

Not that I disagree with your overall point, but Tippet has been pretty bad this season. All he gives you is offence and he does that at the same rate as the center they just traded to Calgary while making nearly 3 times as much.
