I thought Kahkonen was good even with Fleury why not keep Kahkonen as a backup?

Also didnt TSN report Min wasnt going to trade their 1st this year

This would be a pick in the 30s if conditions are met, more palatable to trade it in that scenario where the team goes on a run and Fleury contributes to it.

KK has a lot of talent and potential but has been very inconsistent. Sometimes he gets on a roll and looks unbeatable, sometimes it seems he can't stop a beach ball.

That's not a great backup quality. I think you want to put him into a situation where he plays a lot and hopefully gets on a roll and then see what comes out of that long term.

But he's still young so he can figure it out. Could go either way with him, goalies are weird.

Makes sense and then it does not given he is the youngest of the 3 (Fleur 37 and Talbot soon to be 35)
