He's an NHL player, just no potential whatsoever outside of the 3rd/4th line though. Waste of a 1st round pick. He also needs to get much stronger. One of those guys who's junior game didn't translate at all to the NHL

On the other hand, if any Sharks fan is interested in a big Ty Dellandrea hockey card PC then lmk lol

Decent pick up for San Jose. I thought he did well enough in the playoffs for the Stars.

He's an RFA with arb rights so is that the issue here for the Stars or?

No brainer move for the Sharks I think, if he bounces back into what he was in 2022-2023, he seems like he'd be a solid bottom-6 guy. For a 4th next year, you absolutely take that gamble.

1) I'm thankful that Dellandrea's lazy stick infractions are now someone else's problem

2) I'm glad it's a 2025 pick instead of 2024 so Nill can possibly use it at next year's deadline

3) Delly is a hard worker and seemingly loved by his teammates, so I'm happy for him to get a better shot at a full time spot. He might have had the nastiest shot on a goal in the entire league this year

I thought this guy was going to be better than he is. Doubt he’ll turn into much but absolutely worth a shot for the Sharks to see what he’s made of.

I always liked Dells. Wasn't the most liked on the Dallas Board, but he was a decent 4th liner that could kill penalties. Takes a lot of dumb penalties though

For a 4th rounder, it's a fine risk to take. I don't expect his next contract to be a big deal either but it could very easily be Mike Grier's Lane Pederson trade.

Big heart but not a whole lot of skill.

Just stick him to the wing of a Center of the caliber of Wyatt Johnston and he may almost score double digit goals again .

To me, this smells like a winger for Will Smith on the third line. Guy who can play C in a pinch, good defensively, some size. On a scale of 1-10, how bad of an idea is that?
