The Sharks don't need B chip prospects. They need a #1 RHD and RHD only.

I think CGY and SJ make good trade partners i just am unsure what gets it done and thought of this and ofcourse I know this isn't a real proposal but just for fun . I think CGY ultimately trades Andersson to BUF but I do know CGY needs a top 5 pick to land a future 1C

He did not even offer a B grade prospect he offered a mid-pairing defenseman that they could use but not at the expense of the second overall, a throwaway prospect and the worst of their two first round picks because he's greedy like that.

The Sharks need a real #1D to build their defense around. Andersson isn't that, and the Sharks can get other d-men in UFA or by trading far less than #2OA.

Andersson isn't a #1D and never will be. And looking at his stats, he was a -38 this season, which is usually not worth mentioning except for the fact that was TWO TIMES WORSE than the next lowest player on the team. And also given the fact that he makes 4.5M a season for the next two years, that screams cap dump with negative trade value.

So you want US to trade YOU our 2ND. OVERALL. PICK. for.... what will likely end up being #32 overall.

So? On Dallas, he'd be in the bottom pairing; that doesn't make him a bottom-pairing defenseman.

Sure it's just for fun, but that doesn't excuse a bad proposal. Fundamentally, you drastically overvalued Calgary's assets and undervalued the #2 pick.

Put another way, Andersson is likely traded at the deadline...for, at best, another first-round pick that's likely late in the draft.

Would any team trade the #2 for two late first-round picks and a ho-hum prospect? Would Calgary have accepted that for #6 in 2016?
