Honestly I'd rather see them look like a team that wants to win and that is starting to mesh than gunning for a high draft pick--somehow we'd miss out on first overall and the guy we picked would be a second rounder our scouts were high on. It's the Predator Way.

Tell you what, dunno what the issue was with Anunnen in Colorado but its a bit of a headscratcher watching him since he has been here.

Maybe it was the altitude? You get tired faster and recover slower at 5200 feet.

It took me about 2 days to get acclimated. Two days after that, I went up Pikes Peak (14, 015 feet). I felt a little dizzy. I sat down, drank a bottle of water, had a high altitude donut. Then I spent about a minute trying to open a bag of potato chips. I had to stab it 4 or 5 times with a pen. It looked like an overstuffed pillow that was ready to explode!

I have spent my life at 550 to 700 feet, with a few vacations to South Dakota, North Carolina or Mexico City. A week in the Denver area was my longest stay at altitude. I can't imagine putting on 40 lbs of equipment. When you play soccer, you wear 5 lbs.

Wedgewood did the opposite. Looked like garbage here but is doin great (before injury) in COL.

FWIW Annunen had 14 games in 23-24 and had a .928 sv% and 2.25 GAA. He is very young and gonna be a little bit more rough around the edges. I like his upside though. He is our best goalie in the system after Saros.
