Boston Bruins Sign Dan Locmelis

I don't see that with Locmelis. Think he will be at best a 3rd line guy and more than likely a fringe NHL player. Better bet is that Poitras and Lysell develop into a top 6 role along with the 2025 1st rounder from the current prospects to augment Pastrnak,
Zacha and Geekie and whomever they sign as a FA next couple of years.
Yeah you desperately need one of these guys to do it. Hopefully they get a top F this draft and you assume he will be top 6 at some point

guessing he turned pro figuring no time better than the present with the B`s having loads of spots to fill in 2025/26 ? Not sure he`s ready as I have seen nothing more than highlights

Hard to say. His hockey iq is off the radar though so it’s possible he cracks the roster. O feel like a year in providence is the plan though.

I was at the game last night in Hartford and he definitely looked like a player to keep an eye on; good motor, great vision and definitely showed some chemistry with Poitras.

I shoulda posted asking who was going, woulda been cool to meet a fellow HF acolyte

Really enjoyed his play, I watched him the most all night followed by Poitras

We can Dans if we want to...

Bruins prospect cupboard could get very interesting if Poitras, Lysell, and Minten graduate full time next year with Locmelis potentially down the road. Hoping he has a good off-season and continues to show his stuff next year.
Lysell needs to rip up the AHL first before he can graduate to the NHL on a non-tank team.

He absolutely could be but he might be better off long term marinating longer. He could be a 2nd line option eventually and if he starts the season in the AHL and continues working on all areas it could be beneficial to him and the bruins long term

He may be a Teddy Blueger type guy but I can't see him a #2C on a Playoff Team.

I am a UMass grad so I have seen him enough to be confident in what his ceiling will be and its a 3C.
