Ruff should be fired, no question.

One note on faceoffs: Ennis 2-10, Hecht 4-11. Rest of the team 18-21. It's really only those two guys suffering. Grigorenko is 12-11 on the season. If faceoffs are an issue, they should be trying to get him in there more.

Actually Grigs did center those two and posters did *****. They also *****ed when Ott/Hecht were his wingers. The level of Grigs related whining is ridiculous in the GDTs.

sorry... i dont participate in GDT during the game... i guess us mature folks prefer chat

who else are his wingers supposed to be?

Ott is very solid at faceoffs, he should have been taking them more than Hecht was.

Thats what I said

Until he gets into the top 6 and has offensively gifted wingers, a segment of the fans will be complaining.

Actually, why was Ruff so concerned about matching up Grigs on Staal? Staal's hatty came last night without Grigs out there once. How much worse could he have been?

The point from Ruff's perspective isn't who was or wasn't on the ice for goals against in the first game, but to create a defensively strong line that would prevent them from getting good opportunities in this one.

Which would of been a good idea going into the game..... not in the 3rd period.

Exactly.

Is Grigorenko hysteria more mentally debilitating than Beiber fever?

Ruff may have to break up Vanek/Pommer like the end of last season to create more scoring lines.

Not a fan of breaking up the only line that works. Keep VHP and try to make something happen with the rest of the forwards.

Wouldn't mind seeing Ennis - Grigo - Stafford and then Foligno - Ott - Gerbe and Scott - Hecht - Kaleta

I'm not a fan of doing it either but something needs to be done. Beyond those two there really isn't enough proven NHL talent to form the nucleus of a scoring line.

Friday night game and it wasn't even a sellout, that's very surprising..I thought it was expected every game would be a sellout after the record ticket sales?

Ruff may have to break up Vanek/Pommer, like at the end of last season, to create more scoring lines.

Brought it up to my friend, he flipped out and said no. I thought of moving one around...we need some sort of catalyst and the FES line is incompetent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but besides Ott and Myers' one goal each, the HPV line is the only one who actually scores.

My thoughts before the season started were...

Vanek-Hodgson-Ott (or flip Vanek and Ott)
FES
Leino-XXX(which now would be Grigorenko)-Pominville

...in order to spread three scoring lines.

Yeah, and Pominville has also been on the ice for every Sabres goal so far
