My best friend works and lives in and around Raleigh. I am a life long (born the same year the team was) Sabres fan. I introduced my Reb friend to hockey around 20 years ago. We made a friendly promise, if either of our teams made it to the finals, we’d come for a game and support. Since our 2 teams can’t meet in the finals it seemed a safe promise.
Well, as promised, I flew down Wed. dawned the Canes hat and went to game 5 with him, section 111, row G seats 4 and 5. Just wanted to give the Canes faithful a BIG shout out. Aside from some normal friendly trash talking you guys showed me a fantastic time. Your pre game presentation with the Johnny Cash song was awesome and I was introduced to the Siren Legacy, which was also awesome.
So thank you Canes fans, it was a blast, and per our agreement…….
