Like with any aging gunslinger, time finally runs its course. We need to get a clean slate here. Now
Same, he should take over. Firing Clark for this is an overreaction due to the moment but Bobrov should be taking over for Clark sooner rather than laterI am very here for the Bobrov Draft All Europeans Era
Not really IMO. I have (unfortunately) fired hundreds of people the past 35 years for doing things less obvious (or with mediocre results) than his mismanagement. You wanna talk about insensitivity, unprofessional conduct and old school mentality? Then this your guy. If not, well Keep him then...Same, he should take over. After the top 6 we started a trend of poop
I believe nyr wanted Glass
I'm not well versed enough on scouting to say whether he's really done a good, bad or indifferent job, and I'm not convinced that our player development pathways are all that great which makes it even harder to judge; but 12 years in one position is a long time for anyone so if there are suitable candidates to take over out there, I wouldn't be horrified if he was moved on.
He's found a lot of solid NHLers, but some of the misses have been pretty ugly, and some of the selections have been 'interesting' based on perceived talent levels.
If the stories about him not wanting Andersson at #7 but being overruled are true then it is all a bit more concerning because I really can't see the point of having a head scout if you just ignore his advice/opinion on what was a pretty important pick
Does Bobrov not share part of the blame though?
Feels like another “bad thing=Sather, good thing=Gorton.”no people like bobrov so he is only responsible for good things, anything bad is gordie's fault...but don't worry give it a year and i'm sure he will be blamed for stuff too
I agree that he hasn’t always done the best thing he could have done, but development isn’t just giving players a lot of minutes because they’re youngWhy is Quinn absolved? He gave Smith more time, and Haley also! He sent down Chytil, until had no choice but to call him up and now hes playing fine.
Kratsov, now Andersen??!!! And KK is playing terrible atm...
Quinn is giving Fast top 3 minutes?
Listen this coach wants to win now, hes not interested in "coddling " and developing young players.
This organization has some serious issues
Chytil and Kravtsov were picked ‘too high’ tooI think one issue with Clark is that he falls in love with a certain type of player(grit) and he picks them way too high like Mcilrath and Lias.
Disagree about a chytil. I think it’s been a good pick for us. Once he starts elevating his passing he is gonna be real good. Kravstov is having a rough year but I still like him and think he has big upsideChytil and Kravtsov were picked ‘too high’ too
