Your last statement answers your own question. The fact they aren’t getting younger is the reason why in a parody driven league where anything can happen you don’t risk losing top prospects or give up another first round draft pick. I expect depth pieces will be what JBB goes after. Beyond that the risk isn’t worth a long-term rebuild. Tampa is a hockey market because we’re winning. I’m not interested in seeing this team turned into another Buffalo Sabres by mortgaging anymore of our future. If not now then when?
Hedman and Kucherov ain't getting younger.
Could always sell later when it's clear you can't win the cup anymore. How they and vasi have been playing. I could be wrong but I could see jbb take another shot.Your last statement answers your own question. I hope so, but tbh I haven’t watched enough of him to say. I’d assume if they added a better 4C they could still have him on the 4th line on the wing tho if they really like his overall game. Not sure who the biggest weak link is in that bottom 6 but the overall production isn’t good apart from Nick Paul.Good analysis, just curious- do you envision Girgensons playing 4C going into playoffs? Love the dude, and he’s been on fire lately with 2 points in his last 5 games, which doesn’t sound fire until I tell you he has 4 points all year. So- do you replace him or one of his wingers? Who is responsible, is Gus’ D so smothering that it’s fine?
