Rumor: Should the CBJ pursue Elias Pettersson?

This is a rare opportunity. Pettersson is an incredible talent that would do wonders here. Evason would maximize him and he'd be back to 80+ points seasons, I'm fairly confident in that.

Zero interest in Miller.


Some of the suggestions here are funny, there's no way Vancouver is taking Sillinger as the main piece along with some picks.

The ask is going to be Fantilli plus and if you're getting Pettersson, you don't "need" Fantilli. I like mayor's suggestion of giving them Severson, it'd be fairer.

That said I'd much rather go in the direction of Lindstrom+ but I doubt Vancouver goes that direction.

Chinakhov, Sillinger and 1st I think is a steal for us, as much as I dont want to lose Chinny. Once again I doubt it as Chinny isn't healthy.

My thought is, you should probably not make this trade unless it's heavily in your favor, i.e. no Marchy, Voronkov, KJ, Fantilli, Chinny.

If its for other pieces, Id consider it. This is a trade that Jarmo would be all over and that's something that scares me. This team could really use someone like Dobson a whole lot more.

I’m trying to handle all these posts essentially disregarding and downplaying Chinakhov and treating him like some “throw in” in these trades, but, I can’t handle it anymore.

Chinakhov is on a completely different level than Sillinger as a player, and has much more trade value than both him and Provorov.

How about we keep ALL of Chinakhov, Marchenko, Voronkov, Johnson, and Fantilli…

I'd rather keep Fantilli and let him grow here. It's a marathon to build a winner. Not a sprint.
