23 man roster allows for 1 extra D,F and G already. Still have to keep the 50/50 split if your idea goes through though.

But really I wouldn't hate to see an extended roster for road trips or something. But in general it's overkill as goalies need to play.

I ballot no. Four goalies are the maximum in a maximum 30-man squad in the NHL.

So you’re advocating for a 24 man roster, because you’re already allowed to carry 3 goalies if you choose, as the habs did last season until Allen was traded late in the season. It was a shit situation for the three goalies.
