Should Keith Tkachuk Be in the Hall of Fame?

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. Three guys scored 400 goals during the dead-puck era (94-04). Jagr is definitely getting in. Tkachuk tapped in a bunch of rebounds from Macinnis and Pronger. Bondra seemed to make his own offense and probably screwed himself by staying with the Capitals when they refused to get him offensive help. I'd put Bondra in over Tkachuk and I think most goalies of the time would agree that Bondra was the better and more feared goal scorer.

Tkachuk's best seasons were not with the Blues, so you assuming his case is being made because he played with Pronger and Mcinnis isn't fair. Regardless, guys shouldn't have their accomplishments marginalized for playing with other good players.

I guess if Roenick is in, then Tkachuk can go in. These are similar players but Tkachuk a better goalscorer

For sure, Tkachuk would belong in the NHLPA HOF because he was always at the forefront of players getting paid.

No.

0 cups
O playoff MVP
0 RocketS
0 Hart trophies.

He won literally nothing.

The only argument for him is that the hockey hall of fame is incredibly easy to get into, the bar is so very VERY low.

He's not a Hall of famer but he probably gets in because the bar is so low.
exactly

not a single award. zero top 10 point finishes. well under a PPG for his career. how on earth is this guy a HOFer? at best he’s one of the leading candidates for the hall of very good.

Nicholls 1,127GP, 475G, 734A, 1,209TP

Nicholls plays as many games JR, he's at least at 525G and 1,300TP

Unfortunately for Bernie, his wife Heather had a tough pregnancy with the twins after being traded out of LA.

And in 93, he lost a son after a year battle in the hospital.
I would put Nicholls ahead of Tkackuk. The one person who should be in already is Mogilny.

I feel like you should have to either win or do SOMETHING.

Patrick Marleau didn't win any of the things I listed either.

But he did win 2 world championships.

He has nearly 1200 points

And he's the all time leader in games played.

Without that record I wouldn't have Marleau in either.

But he's got it so he's in
Tkachuk did so *something*. He scored over 500 goals and 1000 points while being one of the very best power forwards of his era. He didn't put up great numbers in the playoffs, but how many of the teams he was on were true contenders? I'm not sure his getting in the HHOF should hinge on that. Internationally, he performed well in several tournaments and was on the winning team for the 1996 WCOH.
