Pretty much what the title says. Should he get in? Or is the controversy around him barring him from getting in?
He's been brain dead for about 10-15 years, no. He's a clown, nationalist and his hockey IQ has been getting lower and lower. Just says too much nonsense.
Don Cherry has done more for charities involving First Responders, Wounded Warriors/veterans groups, animal welfare, and many more than any of you holier-than-thou posers.
If Foster Hewitt is in, why not Cherry? Cherry is a former Jack Adams winner to boot. If Harold frickin Ballard is in, and I have to choose who has done more for hockey…..None of these things have anything to do with the Hockey Hall of Fame though.
Cherry is a former Jack Adams winner to boot.
Yes. One comment doesn't diminish an entire career of achievement.
Shame on those of you that say no.
I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Demers in the Hall. Especially knowing that he did what he did while being functionally illiterate due to an abusive father. Quite remarkable to say the least.Seems like an argument for putting Jacques Demers in. More Jack Adams, more Cups with worse teams...
Oh and Ballard could be kicked out without having to be replaced. It's been done in the past.
Achievements:What achievements? He was a mediocre coach at best, a terrible, xenophobic broadcaster who lost touch with the game a decade before being fired and he's an arrogant blow hard.
Defending an otherwise good human being who stuck his foot in his mouth requires courage. That courage is entirely lacking in our public figures, so he will never be inducted. He'll get in as a builder some day.

He’s accomplished a lot more in his life than I ever will, and I’d bet more than you too.
To be fair, he is a blowhard.
He loves this country (Canada) undeniably
