Should Bettman pull an Adam Silver and force a Brady Tkachuk trade to a major market?

The obviously answer for me to type here is no.

I'm just not sure how I type and convery how BIG of a "NO" it is and I'm not sure it can be conveyed via written type forum messages. Perhaps there is a "handyman service" where I can pay someone to strike the OP when he reads my "NO!"?

I know it's very fashionable for the entire world and especially Canadians to make dumb American jokes right now. But you need to be careful about this, because
1. It's not true. I'm sure someone will find some YouTube video to say that "show me how dumb Americans are", but seriously, most Americans are nice and intelligent people.
2. You are going to create enemies, who like it or not have the largest impact on the world, including hockey. Not saying you need to kiss anyone's ass, but you guys are going out of your way to create enemies here (talking about the average American or American hockey fan, not public figures).
Just stop it.

Edit: Forgot to mention that this is a terrible idea.
Fashionable right now? Americans have always been thought of as being arrogant by most Canadians and Europeans. And that's putting it politely. It's obviously a stereotype but those exist for a reason. The majority of the world's opinion of America has certainly lowered further in recent months for very obvious reasons which is also why I disagree with you saying that most Americans are intelligent.

What evidence is there to suggest Adam Silver forced a Luka trade ?

They traded him because he barely works out and is out of shape but loads of talent. Also because they had another elite point guard in Kyrie Irving.

And no, forcing a team to trade their star player and captain ? Why did OP even think this was a good idea.

As a fan of a team that would exponentially boom with popularity if we had both of the Tkachuk brothers, this would destroy the league.

why have a front office, coaches, owners, or frankly a league if one person dictates which team gets which players?

the nerve, the audacity, the GALL, to suggest this atrocity….it’s kind of impressive. but never cook again.

I have a 7kg sledgehammer you can borrow if you want. Or a cricket bat. I think a cricket bat would do nicely.

I know it's very fashionable for the entire world and especially Americans to make dumb comments about Canadian niceness right now. But you need to be careful about this, because:
1. It's not true. I'm sure someone will find some YouTube video to say that "show me how mean Canadians are to these poor dumb Americans," but seriously, most Canadians are nice and considerate people.
2. You guys started it.
I do think Canadians are nice people. A large group of Canadians on here, not so much.

The league should not only force the Senators to trade Tkachuk, but then, as tradition requires, force them to forfeit a first round pick as punishment for making the trade.

Seriously though, is the argument here, that of all players, it's Brady Tkachuk, playing in New York or Chicago or something, that will unlock a new level of popularity for the league? Likewut?!
